Before a prescription is given, the doctor may request a blood test to make sure you don’t have conditions that may prevent you from using the drug safely. Always follow the prescription label keenly and never take a smaller or larger dose than directed.

You should take the Finasteride 1mg tablet with a full glass of water. You can take the tablet with food or on an empty stomach. For the best results, make the point of taking the medicine at the same time each day.

The recommended dose is one tablet of 1mg a day. The patient is required to use the 1mg tablet a day for 3 months or even more. It may take up to three months before improvements are observed.
